PADANGPOS.COM. (Padang), Head of Public Relations and Protocol of Padang Mursalim confirmed that the Friday prayers that the Mayor of Padang H. Mahyeldi Dt Marajo act as the Friday prayer preacher.
"Yes, the Friday prayers along with Secretary of State later Mayor of Padang will be a preacher," he explained, Thursday (22/10) in the implementation of the summit IORA, Mercure Padang.
He mentioned, the Friday prayer it self will be held in one of the rooms at the hotel. Currently, the hotel is preparing the venue for Friday prayers tomorrow.
"The hotel was preparing a place. Secretary of the Muslim religion will certainly join the Friday prayers along with the Mayor, "he added.
As is known, the Mayor of Padang often perform the Friday prayers along with residents of Padang. Padang city government does have a program "Roving Friday", where the Mayor of Padang visited every mosque in the city of Padang on every Friday. In the program "Roving Friday", the Mayor of Padang act as a preacher and occasionally into the prayer.
"Each 'Friday Roving' that, in addition to preaching, the Mayor also absorb the aspirations of the people after prayers," said Mursalim.
